EDCTP 2023
In November 2023, several research studies from the Multiply project were showcased as posters at the 11th EDCTP Forum held in Paris, France. This forum serves as an essential international platform, bringing together scientists, clinicians, and donors to discuss innovative clinical studies aimed at tackling diseases and advancing healthcare capacities. The forum facilitated valuable exchanges and networking opportunities for professionals committed to improving global health outcomes. The following Multiply posters highlighted critical findings in malaria prevention and treatment among infants:

- Prevalence and Factors Associated with Malaria Infection in Children Aged 10 to 23 Months in Togo (2022): This study explores the prevalence and key factors influencing malaria infection in toddlers, providing insights into the disease burden among this vulnerable age group.
- Factors Associated with Coverage of Three Doses of Intermittent Preventive Treatment of Malaria in Infants Using Sulfadoxine-Pyrimethamine in Sierra Leone: A community-based cross-sectional survey examining factors that affect the implementation and uptake of malaria prevention treatment in infants, informing more effective intervention strategies.
- Acceptability and Feasibility of Perennial Malaria Chemoprevention for Children Under Two Years in Togo (MULTIPLY Project): This pre-implementation assessment employs mixed methods to gauge the acceptance and practicality of continuous malaria chemoprevention in Togo, aiding in the strategic planning of similar interventions.
- Acceptability and Feasibility of a Pilot Malaria Prevention Strategy for Children Under Two Years in Sierra Leone Among Health Care Workers: A study assessing healthcare workers’ perspectives on a pilot malaria prevention initiative, helping to shape program scalability and sustainability.
These presentations underscore the Multiply project’s commitment to contributing valuable data and perspectives on malaria prevention, which are essential in shaping public health policies and practices in malaria-endemic regions.
